The FAR/AIM in your pocket. This app was built specifically for pilots and aviation professionals. It is a one-stop reference for those who are involved with flying.

Updates? We do them frequently. About once per month for the regs and 2-3 times a year for the AIM and PC/G. You’ll be much more up-to-date than with the hard copies, which are typically updated only once per year. An in-app subscription grants access to ongoing content updates.

Other features:

• Free one-week trial for new users. Try it for yourself at no risk with no commitment.
• Complete text FAR/AIM, namely 14 CFR, Chapter 1 (FAR) and NTSB 830, and Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), including charts and images.
• Lightning fast browsing.
• Intelligent search with full-text and header options.
• Context sensitive search (limit search to certain sections).
• Bookmarks and user highlights.
• Saved search term history.
• Email sections to friends.

Pros and cons of FAR/AIM - FAA Pilot Reference app for iPhone and iPad

FAR/AIM - FAA Pilot Reference app good for

For professionals that have an interaction with certification process it is very usefull!
This app is usefull and pragmatic for flight test instruction, and the automatic updates make it easy to keep up with all the new amendments releases.
Very useful tool. I strongly recommend to whom dealing with airworthiness and waiting for the AC adds to app. Thanks
The indenting of the sections makes it much easier to read. As a CFII, its very practical app.
Quick and easy! Saves carrying and continuously buying an up to date FAR/AIM. DPE was impressed at its ease of use.
I have set a goal to read the entire AIM this year. I like the fact that the app saves where I left off so I can read a page whenever I have a minute.

Some bad moments

Another example of an app that takes your money then wont update without a hassle. It would be real easy to double my order but I cant figure out how to get the update. Im gonna let this die and buy the book...
Long story short this app has been nothing but trouble its a waste of money and updating is a total pain Ive never gotten it to work well and when it does its not organized well.
$9.95 is not a bad price but it is decidedly inconvenient that there I no way to stop the auto renewal.
This was a great app..... until they started charging for updates. I bought this app when it first came out, now I have to pay again for updates? No loyalty for long time customers. Do yourself a favor and get the ASA app and pay onetime.
If Im not mistaken, when I purchased this app in 2009, it was life time updates - now, Im required to purchase a subscription to get the latest updates??. Ive NEVER had to purchase an update for this app for 4 years - greed once again trumps good business! Oh yea - still NO part 117? This reg has been in play for months. Ill have to find a different app that stands by their promise!
Oh good. Im not the only one confused about a subscription. Ive had this app for two years now and never had to buy a subscription. So I guess its back to the books.
