FAR/AIM - FAA Pilot Reference App Reviews

This app is very good, however Im extremely disappointed that after paying full price on the app years ago they now are charging subscription for the updates. Apple should not allow developers to pull this kind of trick on the uses. Im changing to the other FAR app provided by ASA. Not because they update for free, but because Tekk Innovations changed rules after I bought the app.

Bought app and now you need to buy updates. For the few times a year I need to look something up, this isnt worth it. I particularly dont like how this changed on the fly. Im glad I wasnt in a pinch when I needed it.

So NOW you start charging for updates! How about letting those of us who bought your app when you needed us be grandfathered?

Its an ok app. While it does show you all information in the FAR, I have found that for the same price of one year subscription, I can get the ASA app that has free downloads and does the same thing.

I have a confirmed subscription. There is an update available, but the app will NOT update. It is giving an error message related to URL NULL. I have tried resetting things and clearing temporary data through the troubleshooting menu. None of these things work. May have to try another app.

So I purchase this app in 2012 because it has free updates!! Guess what that deal didnt bring enough money in. Now they want a subscription, Im going back to paper its rules dont change same every year. Boo

Purchased in 2013 because of advertised free updates - once purchased - now need subscription - bait and switch !

This app has steadily declined over the past two years that Ive used it. Now it crashes every time I open it. No longer worth the money!

Its a nice portable FAR. Along with the AIM. Update 10/03/2015: I have been having problem with updating the content with my new iPhone 6S, so I got a hold with support. Kasim Te from the support team and I have been exchanging emails for 3 days straight trying to get to the bottom of it. Finally, I can update the content again today! Their customer service is top notch! Thank you again Tekk!

I would like to be able to read a entire part rather than just one section at a time. Would also be nice to be able to book mark sections I have to use all the time or Corbett where they are. All and all not bad Been using this app for some time now. I like it. I still would like to be able to add bookmarks or highlight paragraphs.

I love the latest update. Combining the FARs and the AIM is a great idea.

Always have a New Years update for one time price. Great App, and a must have for every pilot from Private to ATP. I fly 135 and use this app all the time.
